Worship is our response of love to the God who first loved us. Music plays a vital role in our worship at FUMC. If you or your children want to “make a joyful noise to the Lord,” then consider joining one of our FUMC music groups.

Chancel Choir
This choir sings every week at one or both of our worship services and in special services as requested. Their repertoire includes many styles of music, from Renaissance and Baroque treasures, to spirituals and contemporary pieces. Chancel Choir, under the direction of Kendall Hastings, rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:30-9:00 pm in the Sanctuary.

Jubilate Ringers
Our hand bell choir, directed by Carolyn Simons, participates in worship services approximately once each month. The Jubilate Ringers work with the Chancel Choir on joint pieces when requested and occasionally play at special services outside the church. They rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-8:30 pm in the Choir Room.

His Kids Choir
His Kids Choir is open to all children Kindergarten through 6th grade. The choir is involved in many activities including worship services once a month, a Christmas Eve musical, as well as Choral Worship Sunday and Palm Sunday services. The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings, from 7:00-8:00 pm under the direction of Cindy Busch. Visit the His Kids Choir page to learn more.

God’s Glee
God’s Glee is our group for Jr. and Sr. High girls who love to sing and wish to do so in worship services three to four times a year and in occasional special services. They rehearse on Thursday evenings as necessary.

Gospel Group Singers
Gospel Group Singers is open to anyone desiring to sing and celebrate the rich heritage of southern gospel 4-part harmonies and spirituals. The music is fun, invigorating, and lively. The group sings approximately four times a year in worship services with rehearsals announced in advance. The group is led by Cindy Busch.

Inspirational Instrumentalists
Inspirational Instrumentalists (I2) consists of any member of the congregation who would like to perform periodically during the church service. Anyone interested may contact Kendall Hastings.

Special Interest Groups
Additional vocal and/or instrumental groups, as well as soloists also contribute to our music ministry. An example of that would be the ROSE Chorale - an eight voice women’s ensemble that performs classical and spiritual selections, hymns, madrigals, and contemporary music. If you have musical talents you would like to share, please contact Linda Camp, Director of Music.
