Youth Group

What can I expect at youth group?
The goal of the youth group is to provide support to the students in all aspects of their spiritual life including worship, service, Bible study and fellowship. With that in mind, we try to base all of our activities around these ideas. A typical Sunday could be discussion night, game night or worship night. We do plenty of off-site activities as well, including service projects, movie nights or trips to various attractions. The group also goes on weekend retreats in the fall and spring. These allow the students to explore the given topic more thoroughly without the daily distractions of life around them.

When and how often does youth group meet?
Most weeks the youth group meets Sunday nights from 6:30-8:30 pm. Times, dates and locations may change depending on the activity. Visit our Upcoming Events page to see what's currently scheduled.

Who are the youth leaders?
Beyond the directors on staff, all of the other youth leaders are here strictly on a volunteer basis. They all have different interests, different experiences and come from different walks of life. The one thing they all have in common is the desire to share the love of Christ with teenagers. They plan all of the events, drawing on their own gifts and interests.

Do I need to register or fill out forms to participate in youth group?
There is no formal registration, but all students must have a current Health Form (no more than one year old) on file with the director to participate in all activities. For off-site events, like retreats and mission trips, an additional Transportation Permission Form is required. Occasionally waivers for participation need to be signed by parents for certain retreats/activities.
