Sunday School

How do I choose the right Sunday School class?
There are three different youth ministry Sunday School classes: one for seventh grade, one for eighth grade and one for all high school students. The seventh and eighth grade classes are part of the Confirmation program.

When and where does Sunday School meet?
All Sunday School classes meet at 9:00 am, at the same time as the first worship service. All classrooms are located in the youth ministry hallway on the lower level.

What can students expect to learn?
Seventh and eighth grade students will focus on the basic principles of Christianity as a whole and the United Methodist Church. Sr. High Sunday School uses the LIVE curriculum which is a four year rotation program. Each year has an overall theme which relates to our lives today, with 6-8 week topics. It is biblically based and uses a variety of learning tools such as skits, video clips, discussion and scripture reading.

Are all students in church required to attend?
No. While we strongly encourage regular attendance, we know that conflicts arise with sports, school activities and other personal matters. We welcome all students whenever they can join us. That being said, there are attendance requirements for Confirmation.
