Dear diary, dear world
by Ken Mueller

MySpace. "According to Alexa Internet, it is currently the world's fourth most popular English-language website, the sixth most popular website in any language and the third most popular website in the United States ... and a news story claiming 106 million accounts on September 8, 2006, the site reportedly attracts new registrations at a rate of 230,000 per day." (Wikepedia)
One of the growing interests of youth today are online journals and blog sites. (Myspace.com and xanga.com are the two most common) Wikepedia offers a great overview of what MySpace.com is exactly. Ken Mueller writes about this relatively new craze for teenagers, how it works, why teens do it and suggestions about how we can deal with it as parents and mentors to youth. |

"No Practical Jokes!" You may hear the youth leaders say this when the time comes for us to go on one of our retreats. Unfortunately this book had to be written because Frank Peretti suffered from bullying, and we have seen the effect that bullying can have on some of our youth. School, work, sports and clubs can all be paralyzing if this is allowed to take place. In this Book Frank Peretti addresses the problem as well as shares his own struggles. |

In between all the books and products that this site is selling there are some great articles about youth culture. We are not endorsing any products or books for this website because we have not read any of them. But there are many great articles and forums. |
