First United Methodist Church of Palatine

A Small Group is people coming together regularly to accomplish an agreed upon purpose. The purpose can vary depending on the group: it can be Learning Together, Working Together, Being Together, or Caring Together.

Small Groups at FUMC

Our God is a relational God, reaching people where they are. The Holy Spirit uses the passions, dreams, and ideas that God has laid on our hearts, gifting us in realizing and accomplishing them. He works through the relationships we form in Small Groups as we share our gifts and desires.

Principle-based Small Groups are Intentional
Existing for a specific purpose that every member understands and embraces

Principle-based Small Groups are Effective
Because they honor God's desire for His church and the diversity of the people He created.

Ask yourself the following questions:
What season of life are you in?
What are your passions and gifts?
Where are you on your faith journey?
What are the hurts in your life?
What's going on in the environment around you?
What kind of Small Group would you rearrange your schedule for?

Whatever your need, passion, season of life, spiritual maturity ... chances are there are others similar to you. If you would like to be part of a Small Group at First United Methodist, contact Rev. Carol Quinn at 847.359.1345 or carol-quinn@comcast.net.
